Hatvan – Robert Bosch Elektronika Kft. has been part of city life for more than fifteen years. More than just an employer, it actively participates in local healthcare and cultural and educational affairs. As we are approaching to Christmas, on 16 December, the company presented computers worth a total of one million forints to the local councils of Hatvan and nearby Rózsaszentmárton. Via Hatvan Council, the computer will be going to several local organizations such as Szent István Primary School and Damjanich János Technical and Secondary School.
The presents were received by the mayors – Richárd Horváth of Hatvan and Sipos Jánosné of Rózsaszentmárton. Volker Schilling, commercial plant manager of Robert Bosch Elektronika Kft., said “I am very pleased that Bosch is able to help the city with equipment that helps people in their work. I am sure the computers will be of great use and also school students will get better access to information.”
Of course no Christmas could pass without Bosch thinking of the children. This year, it has donated toys – jenga, dominoes and colour-in Christmas decorations – to the children in Albert Schweitzer Hospital in Hatvan. The company hopes they will inject a bit of fun into the children’s – hopefully short – stay in hospital.
Roger Seemeyer, technical plant manager of Robert Bosch Elektronika Kft. said, “It is not just at Christmas time that Bosch collaborates with the City of Hatvan and helps where it can. In the second half of this year, for example, we donated 300,000 forints to the Lesznai Anna Methodological Institute, which provides education for children with special needs and disabilities, and another 300,000 forints to the Színes Foundation for children’s art education.”
