Bosch Budapest Innovation Campus wins Construction Industry Award of Excellence

One of the most modern office buildings in Hungary, the Bosch Budapest Innovation Campus has recently received two professional trophies in the field of architecture. The campus has been awarded the Construction Industry Award of Excellence in the category of industrial and energy facility (R&D). This is 23rd time that these awards were presented to the most deserving projects by the Board of Trustees of the Master of Construction Award Foundation.

The ultra-modern building, which was inaugurated in 2022, also received the special award of the Hungary Green Building Council (HuGBC) in the Hungarian Real Estate Development Award competition, which was presented for the 25th time this year.

The award-winning investment was a joint project of Robert Bosch Kft., CÉH Zrt., Market Építő Zrt. and Óbuda Group.

“We dreamed up a building that, in addition to creating a worthy home for tomorrow's automotive innovations, realizes the vision of the workplace of the future. We are proud of Bosch's new campus, the technical and technological innovations it brings to the table and the contribution it makes not only to the development of its immediate and wider environment, but also to sustainability. It is a pleasure and an honor for us to be recognized by the architectural profession,” said András Kemler, managing director of technical areas, and location manager at Robert Bosch Kft.

Where automotive innovation is born
The Bosch Budapest Innovation Campus is an important site for the company's global research and development activities, with construction starting in 2018 and the inauguration taking place in September 2022. The campus houses 1,800 next-generation workplaces on 90,000 square meters on Gyömrői út. A 14,000 square meter instrumented research and test laboratory, a special outdoor vehicle verification area and a giant high-tech test hall enhances the complex's innovative strength, while also serving the company's diversified technological development processes.

The campus has been designed with an emphasis on creating an inspiring and creative working environment. The various functions were implemented in line with the Bosch New Way of Working concept. Taking into account the latest HR trends and the feedback from associates, the architectural design placed particular emphasis on creating community spaces that foster creative thinking and inspiration, while also focusing on sustainability and energy-efficient operation.
