The future does not wait: Bosch and Richter are looking for the new generation of innovators

Budapest, Hungary – Two of Hungary's leading innovative companies are looking for future-shaping ideas from talented young people: this year, the Bosch×Richter Industrial Innovation Award is announced for the third time for Hungarian university and college students. The competition encourages students to shape the future of healthcare and mobility with new perspectives and creative, constructive ideas.

The competition is an important pillar of the unique collaboration between the Bosch Group in Hungary and Gedeon Richter Plc. Launched in 2024, the award aims to inspire students to think in innovative ways, identify challenges that affect our future, and develop unique, fresh concepts.

Sustainable solutions from Generation Z
In the past two years, the Bosch×Richter Industrial Innovation Award has been given to pioneering solutions that can make healthcare and mobility more efficient in the future by uncovering important problems in these fields. Previous winning projects aimed to address issues such as dementia treatment, more accurate medication dosing, easier mapping of side effects, and the early at-home detection of a common gynecological disease. In the field of sustainable mobility, the award-winning entries focused on the recycling of would-be waste products, the expansion of automated vehicle technology, the development of more efficient and greener public transport in large cities, and the conversion of waste heat into electricity.

Significant financial support and professional mentoring for the best solutions
For the 2026 Bosch×Richter Industrial Innovation Award, students in higher education can apply in individual and group categories between February 16 and May 14 midnight. In their entries, students are required to identify a challenge with a significant impact on the future and develop a solution that is feasible in practice in the field of healthcare or mobility. Applications must be submitted in writing to www.boschxrichter.hu/.

Winning individual applicants will receive a net prize of 1 million forints, and teams of up to three will receive a net prize of 500 thousand forints per team member. Additionally, organizers will assist winners with professional mentoring and large enterprise know-how, and the winners will have the opportunity to present their entries to a professional audience at the Bosch×Richter Innovators’ Day in September 2026. More details on the competition are available at www.boschxrichter.hu.

The winning entries will be selected by a jury of renowned experts, including Judit Polgár, Olympic champion and international chess grandmaster, Zsuzsa Beke, head of global communication, CSR and public affairs at Gedeon Richter Plc., Dr. Balázs Lendvai, head of Pharmacology and Drug Safety Research at Gedeon Richter Plc., Head of Richter Department at Semmelweis University, Teodóra Bodó, director of communication and governmental affairs of the Bosch Group in Hungary and the Adriatic region, and Mátyás Pótsa, director of innovation ecosystem at the Bosch Group in Hungary.
