Budapest – Robert Bosch Kft. recently won the “R&D Investor of the Year 2015” award, and the company’s Engineering Center Budapest is still expanding. Nothing puts this over better than the arrival of the 1500th engineer on the staff of one of Bosch’s premier European research and development facilities.
Ottó Pallang graduated in Technical Management from Kandó Kálmán Technical College and went on to the Donát Bánki Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Óbuda University. Now 39, he comes to Bosch with more than fifteen years of working experience. The 1500th engineer joined the team of the automotive multimedia department in the Engineering Center Budapest as leader of a mechanical project.
Great colleagues and high technical standards
Pallang said that he will be able to put his knowledge and practical skills to good use in his new job. Among his first impressions, he highlighted the helpfulness of his colleagues, the staff-friendly atmosphere in Bosch and the high-standard technical environment there. He said he will have a lot to learn in the initial period “but there are good people to learn from and there are well defined planning and management policies in Bosch.” He is also confident that several products he and his group are designing will eventually go into production.
Oliver Schatz, Senior Vice President Technical of Robert Bosch Kft. and head of the Engineering Center Budapest, said that the Budapest site operation has an increasingly important place among Bosch automotive R&D facilities. “I am very pleased that we are constantly able to increase the number of highly-qualified people working here.”
