New Technical Plant Manager at Robert Bosch Automotive Steering Kft.

  • Paul Klinzing took over from Daniel Pridal as technical plant manager
  • The key to success lies in the workers
New Technical Plant Manager at Robert Bosch Automotive Steering Kft.

Eger/Maklár – With effect from March 2016, Paul Klinzing is technical plant manager of Robert Bosch Automotive Steering Kft. He is responsible for the operations of the Eger and Maklár plants, which means production, development and Bosch Production System activities. Stefan Basso remains as commercial plant manager.

The new technical plant manager at Robert Bosch Automotive Steering Kft., which has manufacturing sites in Eger and Maklár, has come from the United States. He graduated in mechanical engineering from Pennsylvania State University and started his career on the ZF hydraulic steering gear plant in Oakwood. He became production manager at the Florence site of ZF Steering Systems in 2007 and production director there in 2012. When Bosch acquired ZF’s share of the steering gear group to become sole owner, it asked Klinzing to take charge of the Hungarian subsidiary in 2015. “I am proud to be carrying on my career in Hungary. My experience so far is that my colleagues here have very similar values to my own and so I am sure we will very quickly develop a mutual and effective working relationship. My task is to direct production in Eger and Maklár and make it more efficient, but of course I will also have the human side in mind. It is good to work for Bosch because they take real care of the workers. To be successful, we need motivated people.”

The previous technical plant manager, Daniel Pridal, after five years in Eger, is continuing his career as vice president manufacturing at Robert Bosch Automotive Steering GmbH in Schwäbisch Gmünd.

Bosch fully acquired ZF Lenksysteme in autumn 2014 and registered the Hungarian site under the name Robert Bosch Automotive Steering Kft. in April 2015. The company operated in Eger between 2003 and 2014, during which it constantly expanded. The workforce has increased from only 35 in 2003 to over 900 today, following market demands and an ever-larger order book. As an automotive industry supplier, it provides steering gear, steering columns, steering shafts and refurbished parts to more than 100 automotive manufacturers worldwide, for cars, commercial vehicles and buses. Through its full takeover of ZF Lenksysteme, Bosch has strategically strengthened its activity directed at actively shaping the future of mobility, and now provides every important part for automated driving, more efficient vehicles and electric vehicles.
