Budapest / Hatvan / Miskolc – Last year, Bosch held the Christmas shoebox project, which brought several hundred boxes of gifts to people in need. Boosted by the success, collections were organised again this year among employees in Budapest, Hatvan and Miskolc and it was coordinated by the participants of the Junior Managers Program at the Bosch Group in Hungary. As the result of Bosch employee’s collecting toys and gifts, more than 500 “shoeboxes” went out during December in time for the families to get them by Christmas.
Boxes stuffed with toys, clothes and food are handed over to the charitable organisations before the festive season. In Budapest and Hatvan, the Red Cross helped to bring the packages to those in need this year, in Budapest this meant the Family’s Transition Home in Csepel and in Hatvan the disabled students of the Lesznai Anna Primary School in the town. The gifts collected by employees of the Bosch plant in Miskolc put smiles on the faces of children in families helped by the Zsófi Magic Castle Association and children looked after by the Miskolc United Social, Health and Child Welfare Institute. Daniel Korioth, representative of the Bosch Group in Hungary, said, “I am grateful for the younger generation that they strengthen one of the key values of Bosch, social responsibility and I am proud to see that so many enthusiastic Bosch associates have been inspired to help others, besides they give an excellent performance in their work.”
